The DIO-Betalon screen is very hygroscopic; therefore, it absorbs night dew and frost, thereby protecting plants against frost. DIO-Betalon uses the same raw materials, machines and technology that was used in making the Tufbell products. DIO-Betalon is currently manufactured in 3 different grades of material. DT-550 91% Transmittance, porosity about 45%. DT-650 90% Transmittance , porosity about 35%. 1500N 85% Transmittance, porosity about 15%. DIO-Betalon screen transmits fewer infrared rays, this prevents radiant cooling during the night and protects plants from cold, thereby fostering their growth. The screen is highly resistant to ultraviolet degradation and has high heat resistance. Therefore, it can be used for a extended period of time. Because of its transparency, the screen transmits sufficient light. In addition, no plasticizer is used, and it is electro statically shielded. These features keep the screen clean. The screen has excellent permeability to prevent the covered area from being exposed to temperature rise and excessive moisture, permitting crops to grow strong.
